Production Manager

BDA Healthcare Pvt. Ltd., located in Parseoni, Nagpur, operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility designed to meet the current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) for national and international standards. We are a rapidly growing pharmaceutical manufacturing company with exports across Africa, CIS, and Southeast Asia. Our facility manufactures high-quality oral solid dosage forms including tablets and capsules, serving both regulated and semi-regulated markets.

We are expanding our production capabilities and are looking for an experienced Production Manager – Tablets & Capsules to strengthen our manufacturing leadership team.

Role Description

The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day operations of the tablet and capsule manufacturing lines, ensuring efficient production, compliance with GMP standards, and timely delivery of batches.

The role will work directly under the Production Head and Plant Head and will supervise production supervisors, operators, and shop-floor staff.

This is a key operational role responsible for maintaining productivity, quality, and regulatory compliance across manufacturing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management

• Plan and execute daily and weekly production schedules for tablets and capsules.
• Ensure timely completion of granulation, compression, coating, capsule filling, and packing operations.
• Monitor production efficiency and minimize downtime.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure strict adherence to WHO-GMP and regulatory compliance standards.
• Review and maintain BMRs, BPRs, logbooks, and production documentation.
• Coordinate with QA and QC teams during in-process checks and batch release activities.

Team Leadership

• Supervise production supervisors, operators, and technicians.
• Allocate manpower across shifts to maximize productivity.
• Train staff on GMP practices, SOPs, and safety procedures.

Process Improvement

• Monitor production yield, process losses, and wastage.
• Implement initiatives to improve batch efficiency and machine utilization.
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with maintenance and QA teams.

Coordination

• Work closely with planning, warehouse, QA, QC, and engineering teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure timely availability of raw materials, packing materials, and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• B.Pharm / M.Pharm / BSc / MSc in Pharmacy or related field
• 7–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Minimum 5 years experience in Tablets & Capsules production
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage production teams effectively
• Ability to troubleshoot production equipment and address operational issues
• Familiarity with ISO certifications and EUGMP compliance is an added advantage

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of tablet compression, granulation, coating, and capsule filling processes
• Familiarity with cGMP standards, WHO guidelines, and other regulatory compliance requirements
• Experience in handling production planning, process optimization, and workflow management
• Ability to manage shop-floor operations in a multi-shift environment
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in export-focused pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Exposure to regulated or semi-regulated markets
• Experience working in WHO-GMP certified facilities
