Job Description
Sola Wood Flowers is looking for a Manager – Production to lead and scale our production operations in India.
You will own day-to-day production output, quality, labor management, and continuous improvement across our Indian manufacturing operations. This role is critical to ensuring we can reliably produce high-quality sola wood flowers at scale and finished decor products as the business continues to grow.
Experience in manufacturing, production, or factory operations is required. Experience with handcrafted or labor-intensive production environments is strongly preferred.

At Sola Wood Flowers, we are transforming what artificial flowers can be by providing better flowers for less with our affordable eco-friendly wooden flowers and currently serve over 6% of American weddings annually.
We're working towards building a modernized $100mm+ vertically-integrated platform selling through direct-to-consumer, owned retail and traditional wholesale channels.
Sola Wood Flowers has grown to ~200 people in less than 6 years and continues to scale by vertically integrating our production capabilities. That is where you come in.

Key Objectives
Own daily production planning and execution across Indian manufacturing operations
Ensure production targets are met for volume, quality, and lead times
Manage and develop production supervisors and factory labor
Improve production efficiency, throughput, and labor productivity
Implement and maintain quality control standards
Work closely with supply chain and planning teams to align production with demand
Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate production reporting and KPIs
Ensure compliance with safety, labor, and operational standards
Requirements
This is an on-site role in Kolkata
Experience managing production or manufacturing operations
Comfortable managing large teams in labor-intensive environments
Strong operational and execution mindset
Data-driven with the ability to track and improve production KPIs
Able to provide references as requested. We do not want to waste your time or ours with a potential mishire. Our interview process is detailed and thorough.
No issue working 50+ hours routinely. You wouldn't know what to do with your free time if you were working less.

Managing daily production schedules and labor allocation
Ensuring consistent quality across all produced flowers
Troubleshooting production bottlenecks in real time
Training and developing production leads and supervisors
Working with leadership to improve unit economics and output reliability

Initial soft interview, then a long-form live technical interview focused on production operations. Our average time-to-hire from our first interview is ~8–10 days. We pride ourselves on timely responses and updates for applicants.
We run on EOS / Traction. If you've used Scaling Up or OKRs, you'll likely slip into Traction easily. If you haven't used it before, we recommend quickly researching Traction.
