Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Engineer for a full-time, on-site role located in Nelamangala, Bengaluru. The Production Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing production processes to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

BE - Mechanical Engineering

Technical Skills

• Stainless steel fabrication knowledge (SS304, SS316/316L, duplex – basics)
• Reading & interpreting fabrication drawings (GA, shop drawings, isometrics)
• Welding processes: GTAW (TIG), GMAW (MIG), SMAW; basic weld symbols
• WPS, PQR & welder qualification awareness
• Fit-up, cutting & forming methods (plasma, laser – basics)
• Surface finish control (Ra requirements, polishing, pickling & passivation)
• Dimensional inspection & tolerances
• Knowledge of codes & standards (ASME, ASTM, ISO, basic GMP exposure)

Production & Shop Floor Skills

• Production planning & sequencing
• Manpower and machine utilization
• Coordination with stores, QC & design
• Handling rework, NCRs & deviations
• Daily production reporting & progress tracking

Quality & Documentation

• QAP understanding & stage inspections
• Material traceability & MTC review
• Weld logs, heat numbers & fabrication records
• Awareness of NDT methods (PT, RT basics)
• ISO 9001 QMS awarness

Soft Skills

• Vendor / subcontractor coordination
• Team handling & supervision
• Problem-solving at shop floor
• Clear communication with QA, client & site teams
• Time management & multitasking

Software & Tools

• Basic AutoCAD drawing understanding
• MS Excel for production & material tracking
