Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Execute daily plan from cutting (laser/turret/shear), punching, notching, bending (press brake), roll forming, to spot/MIG/TIG welding and grinding/deburring.
Validate BOM, process sheets, and nesting programs; minimize scrap.

Set and monitor parameters for CNC laser/turret punch, press brakes (tool selection, bend allowance, K-factor), and weld processes.
Ensure correct material grade/thickness (e.g., GI, SS304/316, CRCA, aluminum) as per drawing.
Oversee surface preparation for powder coating/painting and galvanic corrosion precautions.

Verify critical dimensions, flatness/squareness, hole patterns, and tolerances as per drawings.
Develop/adhere to in-process inspection plans, gauges/fixtures, and first-off approvals.
Ensure leak-proof drain pans, correct hem/bend radii, safe edge conditions, and rivet/weld integrity.

Maintain machine logs, tool life, preventive maintenance records.
Close work orders, record material consumption & scrap in ERP; maintain heat/coil batch traceability where applicable.

Enforce machine guarding, PPE, welding fume extraction, proper sheet handling, and LOTO.
Comply with ISO 9001 and EHS standards; safe handling of sharp edges.

Required Skills & Knowledge

Strong in sheet metal fabrication: laser/turret nesting, press brake bending, MIG/TIG/spot welding, riveting, hemming.
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, flat patterns, bend deductions; basic GD&T and tolerance stack-up.
Knowledge of AHU-specific parts: panel frames, stiffeners, access door frames, coil casings, filter racks, drain pans (slope & leak-proofing).
Understanding of powder coating/pretreatment interfaces and panel insulation accommodations.
Proficiency with ERP transactions and Excel.
