Key Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining basic backend services using Python, Django, Django REST Framework, and FastAPI under senior guidance.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following coding standards and best practices, with support from team leads.
- Participate in code reviews to learn and contribute to improving backend architecture and performance.
- Help ensure backend systems meet basic reliability, scalability, and security requirements through guided tasks.
- Support the resolution of customer-reported technical issues by assisting in research and troubleshooting.
- Learn to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve simple backend, API, database, and performance-related issues.
- Contribute to root cause analysis and suggest basic fixes or preventive measures with supervision.
- Use tools like JIRA for logging, tracking, and closing issues as assigned.
- Collaborate with Engineering, DevOps, QA, and Product teams to learn about issue resolution and system improvement.
- Follow procedures for escalating unresolved issues to seniors.
- Assist in monitoring application health and performance, helping to identify potential issues.
- Help prioritize and manage assigned issues while learning to adhere to SLAs and timelines.
- 0-2 years of experience in backend development or product support roles (internships or academic projects count).
- Basic experience or exposure to supporting systems in a cloud-based environment (preferred).
- Proficiency in Python basics.
- Familiarity with Django, Django REST Framework, and FastAPI through projects or coursework.
- Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL (and SQLAlchemy if applicable), including simple queries and schema concepts.
- Understanding of Python fundamentals, including asynchronous programming basics.
- Interest in building scalable backend systems.
- Awareness of RESTful APIs and basic authentication/security practices.
- Exposure to issue-tracking tools like JIRA.
- Basic familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
