Product Manager II – Monetization


About the Role:

As a Product Manager II in the Monetization Pod, you will be at the heart of CarDekho's revenue engine. You will own the product strategy and execution for monetization across our auto classifieds and marketplace platforms - spanning display and performance advertising, lead monetization, dealer and OEM product solutions, listing packages, and conversion funnels.

This is a high-ownership role with direct business impact.


You will work at the intersection of product, growth, sales, and data - Partnering with internal business teams and external partners to drive scalable, sustainable revenue while protecting the user experience that makes our platform trusted by millions.


What You'll Do?

  • Own the end-to-end monetization vision for your product from ideation to roadmap to execution
  • Develop and evolve pricing models, packaging strategies, and monetization frameworks for ads, leads, and partner solutions
  • Define and track key revenue metrics: revenue per user, yield, take rate, conversion rate, LTV, and CAC
  • Identify new monetization opportunities by studying user behavior, market trends, and competitor approaches
  • Build the business case for new initiatives and present recommendations to senior leadership
  • Translate the monetization strategy into a clear product roadmap with well-defined milestones and measurable outcomes
  • Write detailed PRDs and user stories; work closely with engineering and design to ship high-quality features on time
  • Build and scale platforms for ads (display, performance, sponsored listings), lead products, and partner integrations
  • Own the full product lifecycle from discovery through launch, iteration, and growth
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks across the funnel from awareness to conversion to retention
  • Design and run structured A/B and multivariate tests to optimize pricing, placements, conversion flows, and monetization mechanics
  • Dive deep into product analytics, funnel data, and revenue dashboards to surface insights and drive decisions
  • Build a culture of hypothesis-driven product development within the pod
  • Work closely with OEM and dealer-facing business teams to understand partner needs and co-develop solutions that drive mutual value
  • Partner with the sales team to ensure product and commercial strategies are tightly aligned
  • Collaborate with marketing, growth, and data science teams on go-to-market strategies for new monetization products
  • Balance aggressive monetization goals with a high-quality user experience - ensure ads and paid placements feel native and relevant
  • Monitor user trust and engagement signals; flag and address any degradation caused by monetization changes
  • Champion the long-term health of the platform by resisting short-term revenue tactics that compromise retention


What You'll Bring

  • 4+ years of product management experience, with hands-on ownership of growth, monetization, ads, or marketplace products
  • Proven track record of driving measurable revenue impact. You can speak clearly about what you built, how you measured it, and what it delivered
  • Strong understanding of core revenue levers: pricing strategy, conversion funnels, LTV, CAC, yield optimization, and ad monetization mechanics
  • Data-driven decision making, comfortable with SQL or BI tools, able to define metrics, size opportunities, and interpret experiment results without relying on analysts for every question
  • Experience designing and analyzing A/B tests - you know the difference between statistical significance and business significance
  • Familiarity with ad tech fundamentals: CPM, CPC, CTR, fill rate, yield management, or programmatic advertising concepts
  • Prior experience in the marketplace, classifieds, or platforms with two-sided network dynamics
  • Exposure to working in a multi-business-unit or platform environment with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Experience building or scaling self-serve partner portals or listing/ads management tools
