Assistant Manager / Manager – Project Procurement


The Assistant Manager / Manager – Project Procurement will support and manage procurement activities for Greenfield and Brownfield Parenteral projects.


Responsibilities :


  • Source and procure injectable manufacturing equipment, packaging lines, HVAC systems, cleanroom components, utility equipment, and laboratory instruments.
  • Drive vendor identification, RFQ management, techno-commercial evaluations, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to meet project timelines, installation plans, and commissioning schedules.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Projects, Finance, Quality, Validation, Supply Chain, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient project execution and achievement of key milestones.
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships, while driving cost optimization, value engineering, and vendor development initiatives.
  • Ensure procurement activities are executed in compliance with organizational policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate a highly collaborative approach and contribute effectively within a performance-driven, cross-functional work environment.


🔹 Desired Profile :

Qualifications : B.E. / B. Tech or relevant qualification and MBA in Supply Chain/Operations will be an added advantage.


Required Skills :

  • Hands-on experience in Project Procurement for Parenteral pharmaceutical facilities and large-scale expansion projects is mandatory.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP/ERP systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills.
  • Good understanding of injectable manufacturing technologies and pharmaceutical project requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing complex procurement processes within regulated pharmaceutical environments.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects within defined timelines.
