Summary
Procurement Lead responsible for end-to-end sourcing, vendor management, negotiations, contracts coordination, governance, MIS, and reporting across IT / telecom / data center, software, admin, marketing, and professional services categories. The ideal candidate should bring a mix of IT and Non-IT procurement experience, with stronger focus on Opex procurement, 10+ years of experience, strong RFQ/RFP, vendor evaluation, cost control, compliance, communication, and advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sourcing & Category Procurement
- Manage end-to-end procurement from requirement clarification, sourcing, RFQ/RFP, evaluation, negotiation, PO processing, delivery tracking, and closure.
- Own IT, data center, infrastructure, and software procurement, including servers, storage, networking, racks, PDUs, cabling, licenses, SaaS, cloud, monitoring, and security tools.
- Support Non-IT procurement such as admin, facilities, travel, security, agencies, events, branding, merchandise, printing, and campaign services.
- Build supplier shortlists, benchmark pricing, drive savings, and ensure timely availability of goods and services.
2. Vendor Management
- Build and manage vendors across technology, infrastructure, admin, marketing, and professional services.
- Handle onboarding, due diligence, documentation, compliance checks, scorecards, and performance reviews.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, warranties, timelines, SLAs, renewals, and commercial clauses.
- Manage vendor risks, escalations, alternate suppliers, and supply continuity for critical requirements.
3. Governance, Contracts & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approvals, controls, audits, and budgets.
- Maintain accurate records for approvals, POs, contracts, vendor documents, and audit trails.
- Work with Legal and business teams on NDAs, contracts, renewals, and procurement issues.
- Track contract validity, license expiries, warranties, support terms, and AMC obligations.
4. Spend Management, MIS & Analytics
- Prepare spend analysis, savings trackers, vendor comparisons, dashboards, ageing reports, budget reports, and MIS.
- Use advanced Excel for analysis, pivot tables, lookups, dashboards, trends, vendor evaluation, and insights.
- Monitor cycle time, savings, open POs, approvals, delivery status, vendor performance, and issue resolution.
5. Process Improvement & Stakeholder Leadership
- Improve procurement processes, templates, approvals, vendor tracking, and reporting discipline.
- Partner with internal teams to understand needs, provide commercial inputs, close negotiations, and meet timelines.
- Support ERP, procurement, contract management, or purchase-to-pay system adoption.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field; MBA or procurement certification preferred.
- 10+ years in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, or supply chain, preferably in technology, cloud, data center, telecom, infrastructure, or startups.
- Experience across IT infrastructure, data center components, networking, racks, PDUs, cabling, licenses, SaaS, admin, marketing, and professional services procurement.
- Strong RFQ/RFP, evaluation, negotiation, onboarding, performance management, governance, and P2P knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, finance, legal, and leadership.
- Contract knowledge including commercial terms, NDAs, service agreements, renewals, and vendor obligations preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills for analysis, vendor evaluation, spend tracking, MIS, dashboards, pivot tables, and lookups.
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement platforms.
Key Performance Indicators
- Cost savings and cost avoidance against category and project targets.
- Timely closure of RFQs, RFPs, negotiations, POs, renewals, and critical procurement requests.
- On-time delivery and vendor performance on pricing, quality, SLAs, warranty, and support.
- Accurate documentation, approvals, contracts, invoices, vendor records, and audit trails.
- Compliance with policies, approval matrix, budgets, and vendor onboarding requirements.
- Timely spend reports, savings trackers, vendor comparisons, dashboards, and MIS updates.
- Stakeholder satisfaction, responsiveness, transparency, and issue resolution turnaround.
