Procurement Engineer

Role : To lead and manage procurement activities for greenfiled cell & module manufacturing facility

Responsibilities

Strategic Procurement Planning

 Drive fullcycle procurement for construction, equipment, utilities, and services for a

Greenfield Cell and Module Manufacturing project.

 Develop procurement strategies, cost optimisation plans, and vendor negotiation

frameworks.

 Create procurement schedules aligned with project timelines and engineering

deliverables.

 Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for equipment, materials, and services.

 Conduct vendor audits, capability assessments, and price benchmarking.

 Manage RFQs, bid evaluations, technocommercial comparisons, and negotiation

processes.

 Draft and manage contracts including EPC, supply contracts, service agreements,

and project execution contracts.

 Ensure adherence to commercial terms, delivery schedules, and contractual

obligations.

 Track vendor performance and implement corrective actions when required

 Work closely with engineering, construction, project management, finance, and site

teams for seamless procurement execution.

 Collaborate with design teams to finalize technical specifications and BOQs.

 Support logistics planning, inspection, expediting, and delivery tracking.

 Monitor budget utilization and implement costcontrol mechanisms.

 Ensure timely delivery of critical materials and longlead items.

Required Qualifications & Experience

 B.E. / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Production preferred).

 10–12 years of experience in procurement for industrial engineering, EPC, or

manufacturing projects.

 Experience in Cell & Module Manufacturing Greenfield Projects or similar hightech manufacturing (battery plants, semiconductor, electronics, solar, or

renewable energy) is eseential.

 Strong commercial understanding and technical knowledge of project related

materials, equipment, and services.
