As AI adoption accelerates across enterprises, organizations need new capabilities to secure AI models, AI infrastructure, and AI-powered applications. To address this need, Qualys is expanding its TotalAI platform, focused on AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM) and AI risk visibility across modern environments.

The Position

Qualys is seeking a Principal Product Manager to help lead the strategy and execution of our TotalAI (AI Security) platform.

In this role, you will drive product innovation around AI security posture management, AI workload protection, and risk visibility across AI pipelines and infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with engineering, security research, product marketing, and field teams to build capabilities that help organizations understand and secure their rapidly expanding AI footprint.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in cybersecurity product management, familiarity with cloud-native technologies, and a deep interest in AI systems, LLM platforms, and emerging AI security risks.

This role is based in Pune, India, and requires in-person collaboration with engineering and product leadership teams.

What You Will Be Doing

Product Strategy & Ownership

Drive product strategy and roadmap execution for key components of the TotalAI platform.

Identify opportunities to build capabilities around:

• AI Security Posture Management (AI-SPM)
• AI model and pipeline risk visibility
• AI infrastructure and workload security
• AI governance and compliance insights
  
  
  

Translate market needs, customer feedback, and emerging AI risks into clear product initiatives and roadmap priorities.

Collaborate with security research teams to identify new detection and protection opportunities around AI threats, model abuse, and emerging attack vectors.

Product Execution

Work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality AI security capabilities.

Define product requirements, epics, and user stories that guide development and design teams.

Ensure new features integrate seamlessly into the Qualys Enterprise TruRisk Platform.

Balance technical feasibility, market demand, and customer impact when prioritizing product initiatives.

Customer & Market Engagement

Engage with enterprise customers to understand AI adoption patterns, security challenges, and operational needs.

Collaborate with sales and solution engineering teams to support key customer opportunities.

Analyze the competitive landscape and emerging technologies in AI security, cloud security, and AI governance.

Represent the product in customer briefings, roadmap discussions, and strategic engagements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with:

• Engineering and architecture teams
• Threat research and security analytics teams
• Product marketing and sales teams
• UX and design teams
  
  
  

Support product launches, messaging, and sales enablement efforts.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related technical field (MBA preferred but not required).
• 8+ years of experience in product management, or equivalent experience in technical leadership roles such as security engineering, architecture, or pre-sales engineering.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, containerized environments, and cloud-native architectures.
• Familiarity with AI systems, machine learning workflows, or LLM platforms.
• Experience building or managing enterprise SaaS or cybersecurity products.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  
  
  

Preferred

• Experience in CNAPP, cloud security, application security, or runtime security platforms.
• Familiarity with AI/ML lifecycle concepts, including model training pipelines, inference environments, and AI infrastructure.
• Understanding of emerging AI threats, AI governance frameworks, and AI security best practices.
• Experience working with global engineering teams in fast-paced product environments.
