Senior Pre-Sales Consultant (Individual Contributor)
Location: Gurugram Work Mode: Work from Office Experience: 12–15 Years Industry: SaaS / Software Product Employment Type: Full-Time
About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior Pre-Sales Consultant who can independently drive complex enterprise pre-sales engagements from requirement discovery to solution design, demonstrations, proposal creation, and deal closure support.
This is a hands-on Individual Contributor role to begin with, ideal for professionals who enjoy solving customer challenges, creating compelling solution narratives, and partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to win strategic business opportunities.The ideal candidate should possess strong business consulting capabilities along with deep technical understanding of SaaS products, enterprise architecture, APIs, cloud technologies, and digital transformation initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Solution ConsultingLead discovery workshops with CXOs, business stakeholders, and technical teams. Analyze business challenges and translate them into scalable product-based solutions. Design end-to-end solution architectures aligned with customer business objectives. Recommend best practices, implementation approaches, and solution roadmaps.
Pre-Sales ExecutionIndependently own enterprise RFP, RFI, and RFQ responses. Prepare high-quality proposals, technical documentation, solution blueprints, and commercial support documents. Deliver compelling product demonstrations, proof of concepts (POCs), and customized solution walkthroughs. Create tailored demo environments based on customer use cases. Manage multiple strategic pursuits simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines.
Customer EngagementAct as a trusted solution advisor during customer meetings. Conduct technical presentations for business and technology leadership teams. Address functional and technical queries throughout the sales lifecycle. Support Sales teams during negotiations, solution discussions, and deal closures.
Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams for product enhancements and technical clarifications. Work with Delivery teams to ensure smooth knowledge transfer after project closure. Contribute to pricing strategy, effort estimation, and implementation planning.
Knowledge ManagementBuild reusable proposal templates, solution accelerators, case studies, and demo assets. Mentor junior pre-sales consultants on proposal writing, demonstrations, and customer engagement. Continuously enhance competitive intelligence and industry knowledge.
Required Skills & QualificationsMandatory Skills12–15 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting, or Solution Engineering. Strong experience working with SaaS or Enterprise Software Products. Proven expertise in enterprise solutioning and customer consulting. Extensive experience in independently handling enterprise RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. Strong experience conducting executive-level product demonstrations and POCs. Experience in solution architecture, enterprise integrations, and API-based solutions. Excellent proposal writing and presentation development skills. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business audiences. Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales teams.
Technical KnowledgePreferred exposure to:SaaS Platforms Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP) REST APIs & Web Services Enterprise Integrations Microservices Architecture Identity & Access Management (SSO, OAuth, SAML) AI/ML-enabled products (Good to Have) CRM platforms (Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho, etc.) Collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Office Suite) Preferred ExperienceExperience handling enterprise accounts across multiple industries. Exposure to Digital Transformation initiatives. Experience supporting large strategic deals. Strong understanding of enterprise software procurement processes. Experience working with global customers. Ability to balance business consulting with technical solutioning.
