Job Description

Job Title: Pre-Sales Consultant / Pre-Sales Engineer

Role Overview

The Pre-Sales professional works closely with sales, product, and technical teams to understand customer needs, design suitable solutions, and support the sales process through technical expertise and solution presentations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with sales teams to understand customer requirements and business challenges
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and solution walkthroughs
  • Prepare proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and technical documentation
  • Design and recommend solutions aligned with customer needs and company offerings
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert during sales discussions
  • Coordinate with product, engineering, and delivery teams for solution feasibility
  • Perform proof of concepts (POCs) and pilot implementations when required
  • Address technical objections and support deal closure
  • Stay updated on product features, industry trends, and competitor offerings

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field
  • X+ years of experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, or technical sales
  • Strong understanding of relevant technologies/products (SaaS, Cloud, ERP, AI, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value
  • Experience handling enterprise customers and complex sales cycles
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
