The Role

The Pre-Construction Manager leads and formalizes TAB Construction's pre-construction operations, ensuring every project enters production organized, financially sound, and aligned across ownership, project management, and trade partners.

This role centralizes estimating, budgeting, and pre-construction coordination under one accountable leader, allowing ownership and project managers to stay focused on execution and growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, formalize, and continuously refine TAB's pre-construction framework
• Establish clear, repeatable standards for project readiness and turnover into production
• Ensure scopes, budgets, timelines, selections, and client expectations are fully defined prior to start
• Oversee estimating and pricing accuracy with a focus on margin protection
• Maintain clean, accurate data within construction management software (CoConstruct and future platforms)
• Partner with sales to define readiness criteria before projects advance
• Coordinate closely with project management to ensure seamless handoff into construction
• Identify gaps and risks early and resolve them before they impact the field
  
  

What You Bring

Required Experience

• 5+ years in estimating, budgeting, or pre-construction for residential construction, custom homes, or high-end remodeling
• Strong understanding of residential construction methods, sequencing, and cost drivers
• High comfort level working in structured, system-driven environments
• Proficiency with construction management software (CoConstruct or similar)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
