We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Test Automation on PowerShell as a Test Lead to Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for infrastructure management using PowerShell, ensuring efficient, scalable, and maintainable operations across Windows-based environments. The engineer will proactively contribute to the automation strategy, improve existing codebases, and support architectural discussions and incident resolution.

• Experience should have 5 to 7 years of test automation of which 4 to 6 years of experience in automation, scripting, or system administration roles, with a very strong focus on PowerShell scripting.
• Expert-level PowerShell scripting skills with a strong understanding of modular, reusable code design.
• Solid experience with Windows ecosystem: Windows Server, Windows Client, Active Directory and System Center Suite (SCCM, SCVMM, SCOM).
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server and ability to write efficient queries for automation input.
• Experience with Git or similar version control systems.
• Experience with a centralized Powershell automation engine.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Skilled at abstract thinking
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a distributed team.

Roles & Responsibility

Automation development: Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate tasks across Windows Client, Windows Server, System Center Suite (SCCM, SCVMM, SCOM) and other infrastructure related systems. Analyse and enhance existing PowerShell codebases, implementing improvements for efficiency and reliability. Automate deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks for infrastructure components. Integrate automation solutions with external (custom) products and systems. Query and manipulate MS SQL Server databases to retrieve and process data for automation tasks.

Collaboration and stakeholder engagement: Work closely with other infrastructure engineers, architects, developers, and support teams to understand automation requirements and deliver robust, generic solutions. Collaborate with vendors or third-party support for product-specific automation needs. Actively contribute to the team’s knowledge base by sharing insights and best practices.

Documentation and code quality: Ensure automation solutions are well-documented, including code architecture, prerequisites, logic, and usage.

Maintain a critical and constructive approach to personal and peer code reviews, ensuring alignment with best practices and security standards.

Continuous improvement: Rapidly learn and integrate new technologies into the automation framework. Monitor and optimize the performance and reliability of automation solutions. Use Git for version control and collaborative code development.

Operational support: Provide on-call support for backend operations, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Assist operational colleagues based on your automation experience.
