Job Title and Overview

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to join pharma& GCC India team full-time. You will design, build, and maintain enterprise business intelligence solutions that turn complex data into clear, actionable insights for commercial, financial, and operational decisions.

The ideal candidate brings 4+ years of hands-on experience creating end-to-end Power BI reports owning the full lifecycle from requirements and data modeling through DAX, visualization, performance tuning, and deployment and partners closely with business stakeholders and Data Engineering to deliver robust, well-governed, intuitive reports.

Essential Job Functions

Power BI Development (Primary Focus)

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end Power BI reports and dashboards, from requirements through production deployment.
• Build robust Power BI semantic / data models — relationships, hierarchies, and star-schema design.
• Author governed, reusable DAX measures, calculation groups, and time-intelligence aligned to approved KPIs.
• Clean and transform raw data using Power Query (M) for accurate, reliable reporting.
• Create intuitive dashboards with clean, modern UI, and optimize for performance, scalability, and refresh efficiency.
• Manage workspaces, scheduled refreshes, row-level security (RLS), permissions, and deployment.

SQL & Data

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
• Partner with Data Engineering on analytics-ready data structures, consistent grain, and data quality.

Python (Supporting)

• Use Python for data preparation, automation, and lightweight scripting that supports the BI workflow.

Education and Experience

Power BI — Primary Requirement

• 4+ years of hands-on experience delivering end-to-end Power BI reports and dashboards (frontend and data modeling).
• Strong expertise in DAX (complex measures, time intelligence) and semantic / data modeling (star schema, grain management).
• Advanced Power Query (M), visualization best practices, and report performance optimization.
• Hands-on with Power BI Service, workspaces, gateways, datasets, scheduled refresh, and RLS.
• Strong, hands-on SQL querying, transformation, and performance tuning for Power BI datasets.
• Good understanding of database and data warehousing concepts.
• Working knowledge of Python for data preparation, automation, and scripting.

Core Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven track record building enterprise analytics dashboards for executive and operational audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); reliable, independent style with a passion for clean data and clean design.

Desirable (but not required)

• Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, pipelines) and Azure data services.
• ETL / ELT processes; exposure to financial or operational datasets.
• Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD deployment pipelines, and AI & ML features in Power BI.
