Power BI developer Power BI Specialist who has experience in Power BI with SQL database integration Responsible for managing all Power BI related client tasks and supporting the team for the overall project goal Work you?ll do Analysis Design Development Implementation of Power BI dashboards executing proof of concepts Experienced and knowledgeable at a master?s level of industry best practices and vendors to actively analyse design and recommend third party tools where applicable Drives analysis of required functionality and implements customizations to platforms or develops custom solutions to fulfil business requirements with a mastery focus on technical excellence and high quality Performs technical design and maintain documents technical specifications Assists application architects in the creation of application integration and data architecture Develops teaches team members of these skills Reviews other developers work against high standards of quality and technical excellence using best practices to ensure solutions are aligned to architectural specifications and design Investigates and corrects reported issues against existing software Recommends performance improvements including tuning or process change Has an advanced foundation in designing and developing for nonfunctional requirements including reliability availability and performance scale security and data integrity. Analyses business functional requirements and prepares development project schedule tasks and estimates Collaborates with project team members to identify issues and risks associated with the design implementation and delivery of project assignments The team Our IT Systems team works behind the scenes but is essential to the Deloitte organization Our forward thinking team members have the analytical skills needed to parse mountains of data and stellar communications skills needed to present research discovery and recommendations in a logical and easily understandable way Our technologists provide IT infrastructure support and work with clients to develop custom enterprise applications In addition the team develops and maintains solutions built on varied technologies like Siebel PeopleSoft Microsoft technologies and Lotus Notes The setup has various groups which provide effective solutions to the customers by following a streamlined system development methodology and comprises of groups like Usability Application Architecture Development and Quality Assurance and Performance Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in computer science business information systems or relevant experience and accomplishments Responsibilities As Developer Developing visual reports KPI scorecards and dashboards using Power BI desktop and publish process Connecting data sources importing data and transforming data for Business intelligence Analytical thinking for translating data into informative reports and visuals Knowledge of SQL queries HANA or any relational database systems Evaluate improve existing power BI dashboards Collaborate with teams to integrate systems Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses Familiar with DAX queries in Power BI desktop Expert in using advanced level calculations on the data set Should be able to develop tabular and multidimensional models that are compatible with data warehouse standards As Admin Connect different data sources like Databricks Snowflake Azure Data Lake SQL Server Analytics Services ODBC based data sources etc for data ingestion in the Power BI platform Set up and troubleshoot Power BI Gateway and Virtual Network Data Gateway for data source connectivity Support patching upgrades migration and administration of Power BI Platform Design develop and deploy an efficient automation framework for dashboard reports deployment pipeline on Power BI Follow and implement industry best practices for a better time to market using the latest CICD technologies and automate day today tasks Very good communication skills must be able to discuss the requirements effectively with the client teams and with internal teams Nice to have Skills Qualifications Knowledge on Azure platform Certifications and Other Requirements Certified in any of the reporting tools
