Key Skills & Experience Power BI Dashboards: Expertise in creating intuitive, interactive dashboards that drive data-backed decision-making. Tabular Reporting: Ability to build and optimize tabular reports presenting complex data clearly and concisely. Advanced DAX: Strong proficiency in writing dynamic measures, calculated columns, and performance-optimized expressions. Data Modeling: Experience with star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling, and scaling complex BI solutions. SQL Proficiency: Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and performance tuning SQL queries. UI/UX for BI: Collaborate with analysts and users to enhance report usability and visual appeal. Troubleshooting & Optimization: Skilled in resolving issues related to data models, DAX logic, refresh schedules, and report performance. Communication & Stakeholder Management: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and migration of advanced Power BI dashboards and reports. Work with business and discovery teams to gather requirements and recommend improvements to existing BI assets. Partner with Business Analysts to enhance UI/UX of dashboards and visualizations. Provide expert guidance on data modeling, DAX, and best practices to the BI/Analytics team. Ensure all Power BI solutions comply with security, privacy, and governance guidelines. Continuously optimize dashboards for performance, scalability, and user experience. Mentor junior Power BI developers and analysts. Stay updated on BI trends, tools, and Microsoft Fabric capabilities. Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Power BI Developer/Engineer. Proven experience delivering 3+ end-to-end Power BI solutions (data integration ? modeling ? dashboard delivery). Strong background in designing and scaling complex BI dashboards and data models. Advanced expertise in DAX, SQL, and data warehousing concepts. Experience with performance tuning of Power BI reports and SQL queries. Ability to architect full-stack BI solutions (ingestion ? storage ? modeling ? visualization). Knowledge of advanced analytics or machine learning is a plus. Experience with MicroStrategy and retail domain is an advantage. Relevant certifications (e.g., PL-300, DA-100) highly desirable. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 10+ years of experience in data architecture and data management roles. Expertise in conceptual, logical & physical data modeling. Strong knowledge of RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB). Hands-on experience with data warehousing (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse) and data lakes. Proficiency with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, Nifi) and orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect). Strong cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure, GCP) and platforms like S3, Glue, Databricks, Data Factory. Experience with data governance, MDM, and metadata management. Understanding of data security, encryption, compliance frameworks. Experience with APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures (Kafka, Kinesis). Strong SQL, analytical thinking, and communication skills.
