Job Description

Job Title: PMO Manager

Location: Bangalore (Onsite)

Reporting to: Senior Manager, Operations and Strategy

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Manager PMO plays a crucial role in governing and executing GBS Operational Excellence Program in the center. Working closely with GBS INDIA MANCOM and Tower leadership team, this role is instrumental in envisioning, strategizing, and executing Ops priorities, driving key projects and delivering on 1YP-3YP plans. The role is responsible for driving, measuring, monitoring, and coordinating operations through a data-driven approach.

Key Tasks And Accountabilities

  • Ops Excellence (OE) Governance
    • Fully own the company’s OE program implementation and success in the center by working with internal and external stakeholders, global OE and other GCC teams.
    • E2E governance of OE framework and monitor the progress by conducting monthly audits. Prepare actionable plan and implement them by working closely with the towers as drive continual improvement.
    • Analyze performance trends by creating logical dashboards (Excel and PowerBI), identify potential risks and present them through insightful power points as needed to the leadership team
    • Do performance benchmarking against rest of the GBS centers and implement best practices.
    • Conduct trainings on OE framework and continuous improvement or transformation methodologies. (e.g., RCA, PDCA, SDCA, DMAIC & DMADV, Kaizen, etc.) for target audience as per OE program and change management requirement.

  • Project Management
    • Identify process gaps and improvement opportunities in the overall Ops processes and implement solutions using Project management methodologies to close these gaps
    • Drive the adoption and execution of project management methodologies tailored to the operational needs, ensuring efficient delivery of initiatives
    • Train and mentor projects/People in PM methodologies

  • Ops Routines
    • Play the role assigned for crucial Ops routines such as Shared Communication Meet, Battle of Towers, RTO governance, NPS, Target Management, Ops RnR, Ops Events, Stakeholder visits, Engagement initiatives, etc.
    • Challenge the status quo to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these routines
    • Work with various GCC and GBS teams for data coordination and own the data quality for these routines

  • Continuous Improvement
    • Actively participate in the pursuit of continuous improvements as per center’s target.
    • Good understanding of financial metrics – ZBB, Package, Cost Center, Blueprint, ROI, etc.
    • Display Growth and solutions mindset to identifying white spaces and plan to tap into that potential amidst bottlenecks.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills

Education:

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Business Administration, Engineering or relevant Functional background.

Experience:

Previous work experience of 4-8 years in leading E2E project management, OE programs and continuous improvement programs.

Technical/Functional Skills: (Mention any technical, functional or tool related skill in this section) E2E project management, very high attention to detail, Data Analysis, Presentation skills, change management, Oral and written Communication skills, expert-level MS Excel, advanced PowerPoint and good Power Bi skills

Mandatory Skills:

  • Project management Skill – Expert
  • Data Reporting & Analysis skills – Advanced
  • Stakeholder Communication (oral, written, presentation) – Expert
  • Strategic Planning – Advanced
  • Process Improvement - Adanced

Preferred (Good to have) Skills:

  • Power Bi – Intermediate
  • PM certification (PMP/PRINCE2/AGILE) – Intermediate
  • Change Management – Intermediate
