Job Title: Intern to Hire ? PL/SQL & Java Developer Department: Technology / Product Engineering Location: Bangalore (On-site) Reporting To: Senior Backend Developer / Technical Lead Duration: 6 Months Internship (Intern-to-Hire based on performance) Type: Full-time (with potential for conversion to Developer role) About The Role We are seeking passionate and detail-oriented PL/SQL & Java Developer Interns who aspire to grow into full-time Developers after the internship. You will work closely with our backend engineering team to design, build, and maintain robust enterprise applications in the banking and financial domain . This position provides hands-on experience in developing scalable backend systems and database-driven solutions. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing and maintaining Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, and functions . Collaborate with senior developers to build and test Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs . Participate in code reviews , debugging, and technical documentation. Optimize SQL queries and perform database performance tuning. Support integrations between backend services and front-end or third-party systems . Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint reviews , and contribute ideas for process improvement. Learn and apply best practices in secure coding , version control (Git) , and unit testing . Required Technical Skills Basic to intermediate knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL (queries, procedures, triggers, functions). Good understanding of Java (preferably Java 11+) , Spring Boot , and JPA/Hibernate . Familiarity with RESTful APIs , JSON , and XML data formats. Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies . Exposure to Postman , Git/GitHub , and basic unit testing frameworks (JUnit/Mockito). Preferred Skills Exposure to banking/financial systems or ERP projects. Familiarity with microservices , Docker , or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure). Enthusiasm for learning DevOps and CI/CD tools . Qualifications Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields. Academic or project experience in Java and SQL/PLSQL is highly desirable. Soft Skills Eager to learn and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment. Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
