Description

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Platform Support Engineer to support and maintain cloud-based applications and microservices platforms. The ideal candidate should have working knowledge of cloud technologies, DevOps concepts, Java-based microservices, and database fundamentals to ensure smooth platform operations and issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Provide production and platform support for cloud-hosted applications and microservices.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure platform availability and stability.
Support Java-based microservices by analyzing logs, identifying issues, and coordinating fixes with development teams.
Work with cloud platforms such as AWS and understand core cloud infrastructure concepts.
Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, deployments, monitoring, and automation activities.
Execute basic SQL queries and support database-related troubleshooting and validation tasks.
Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution processes.
Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and operational guidelines.

Required Skills

Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS.
Understanding of DevOps concepts, CI/CD, deployment, and monitoring tools.
Basic to intermediate Java knowledge for supporting Java microservices.
Good understanding of databases, SQL queries, and basic data concepts.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and troubleshooting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills

Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes.
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch.
Experience in application support or production support environments.
