Job Title Platform Engineering Engineer 3 Summary of the Role You?ll help ensure the availability, performance, and security of Amadeus? enterprise database systems across multiple technologies. You?ll work with Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL), MySQL, Oracle, Postgres, MongoDB, Couchbase, and emerging platforms to support applications that power global travel experiences. You?ll collaborate with Development, Product, and Architecture teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions. In This Role You?ll Plan, document, install, and configure database servers with a clear focus on availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery across multiple sites. Create and maintain automated backup solutions, including regular validation of restore processes. Build and support monitoring tools for hundreds of databases, including multi-terabyte platforms across various environment Support database environments throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and contribute to the development of standards, procedures, and policies. Collaborate with operational teams to troubleshoot issues, provide performance tuning support, and ensure continuous improvement of database services. About The Ideal Candidate Basic Qualifications and Skills Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business. Preferred Qualifications And Skills At least 8 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies (e.g., MSSQL 2016?2022, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services, Azure Data Factory) in a resilient enterprise environment. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, and experience with MySQL, Oracle (19c), Postgres, MongoDB, and Couchbase. Certification in one or more database platforms is preferred. Proficiency in scripting languages and database tuning tools, with the ability to troubleshoot performance issues.
