Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform complex reconstructive and aesthetic surgeries, including microsurgical free-flap reconstruction, craniofacial and hand procedures with high clinical standards.

  • Lead emergency service response for trauma, burns and acute soft-tissue injuries; perform timely operative interventions and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents and nursing teams; maintain operative teaching and ensure adherence to surgical protocols and checklists.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, operative notes, morbidity & mortality reporting and compliance with hospital quality and patient-safety standards.
  • Contribute to service development—audit, protocol optimisation, clinical governance initiatives and participation in community outreach or screening camps as required.

  • M.Ch. in Plastic Surgery (or equivalent super-specialty qualification) and valid medical registration in India.
  • Proven operative experience in microsurgical reconstruction and complex reconstructive procedures in a tertiary-care setting.
  • Competence in craniofacial, cleft lip/palate and burn-reconstruction surgery.
  • Skillset in aesthetic facial procedures (rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty) and elective cosmetic interventions.
  • Experience managing emergency trauma and burn patients with strong peri-operative judgement.
  • ACLS certification and familiarity with modern operative equipment including operating microscopes.

Preferred

  • Additional training or experience in hand and peripheral nerve microsurgery.
  • Experience with medical lasers and cosmetic procedure platforms (e.g., CO2, fractional, Nd:YAG).
  • Track record of academic contributions: audits, case series or peer-reviewed publications in plastic/reconstructive surgery.

Benefits & Culture Highlights

  • Competitive compensation aligned with experience and a clear operative-case allocation.
  • Structured clinical support with nursing, anaesthesia and physiotherapy teams; opportunities for teaching and career development.
