Primary job title (standardized): Performance Test Engineer A growing technology services team operating in the Enterprise Software and Cloud Applications sector, delivering scalable web and microservices-based solutions for B2B and consumer platforms. We build high-throughput systems and need engineers who can ensure predictable performance, reliability, and low-latency at scale. Location: India (On-site). We're hiring a hands-on Performance Engineer to join the delivery team and drive end-to-end performance strategy across distributed systems. Role & Responsibilities Design and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and spike tests for web, API, and microservices-based applications to validate SLAs and capacity targets. Develop, maintain and scale reusable performance test suites using tools like JMeter, k6, LoadRunner, or Gatling; automate test runs in CI/CD pipelines. Analyze system behavior under load: identify bottlenecks, perform root-cause analysis, and provide actionable tuning recommendations across application, database, and infrastructure layers. Collaborate with developers and SREs to implement profiling, tracing, and observability (APM, metrics, logs) to reduce latency and improve resource efficiency. Create capacity plans, baseline benchmarks, and performance acceptance criteria; report results with clear metrics, dashboards, and runbooks for on-call teams. Drive performance engineering best practices: test data management, environment orchestration, performance gating in CI, and knowledge transfer to engineering teams.
