Associate Director / Director – Managed Services (Payroll)

Role Summary
  • Drive end-to-end payroll delivery excellence for Darwinbox customers
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll execution and SLA adherence
  • Manage customer relationships and handle escalations
  • Lead a high-performing payroll operations team

Key Responsibilities
Payroll Service Delivery
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting as per SLAs
  • Oversee end-to-end payroll lifecycle across multiple enterprise accounts
  • Perform variance analysis and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain high-quality output standards across accounts

Customer & Escalation Management
  • Conduct customer governance calls and service reviews
  • Act as primary escalation owner for complex payroll issues
  • Drive customer satisfaction and retention through service quality

Process Governance & SOP Management
  • Establish, standardize, and monitor standard and customer-specific SOPs
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls
  • Maintain audit readiness and documentation discipline

Team Leadership & Operations Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the payroll managed services team
  • Manage capacity planning and resource allocation
  • Drive performance management and capability development

Continuous Improvement
  • Identify automation and operational efficiency opportunities
  • Collaborate with Product and Implementation teams to improve delivery
  • Track and improve service metrics and KPIs

Experience & Qualifications
  • 15+ years of payroll experience in managed services or delivery environments
  • Strong hands-on expertise in payroll processes, validations, controls, and variance analysis
  • Experience managing enterprise payroll accounts and stakeholders
  • Proven track record of leading delivery teams
