Job Title: Payroll Executive

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Executive to join our Payroll team. The Payroll Executive will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration, a deep understanding of compliance requirements, and exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing:
- Accurately process payroll for all employees on a regular basis.
- Ensure timely distribution of paychecks and statements.
- Handle any payroll adjustments, deductions, and corrections.
- Compliance Management:
- Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal payroll regulations and laws.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and other statutory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of payroll tax returns.
- Data Management:
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies.
- Process new hires, terminations, and other employment changes in the payroll system.
- Benefits Administration:
- Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
- Ensure deductions and contributions are accurately processed in payroll.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate payroll reports for management and finance teams.
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to employees and respond to payroll-related inquiries.
- Assist in resolving payroll-related issues and concerns.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Payroll team to support department goals and initiatives.
- Participate in special projects and process improvement efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in payroll administration and compliance, with a minimum of [1] year of experience.
- Strong knowledge of payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g. Darwinbox).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Excellent understanding of payroll tax regulations and employment laws.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or other relevant certification.
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
- Familiarity with Indian payroll and reporting.
Package: Up to 5 Lakhs
Work Location: Hyderabad
Working Days: 6 days a Week
