Job Title: Payroll Executive

Department: Payroll Department

Location: Hyderabad - Work from Office

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Executive to join our Payroll team. The Payroll Executive will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration, a deep understanding of compliance requirements, and exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing:
  • Accurately process payroll for all employees on a regular basis.
  • Ensure timely distribution of paychecks and statements.
  • Handle any payroll adjustments, deductions, and corrections.
  • Compliance Management:
  • Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal payroll regulations and laws.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, wage and hour laws, and other statutory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of payroll tax returns.
  • Data Management:
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Process new hires, terminations, and other employment changes in the payroll system.
  • Benefits Administration:
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Ensure deductions and contributions are accurately processed in payroll.
  • Reporting and Analysis:
  • Generate payroll reports for management and finance teams.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Customer Service:
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees and respond to payroll-related inquiries.
  • Assist in resolving payroll-related issues and concerns.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with the Payroll team to support department goals and initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience in payroll administration and compliance, with a minimum of [1] year of experience.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll software and HRIS systems (e.g. Darwinbox).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
  • Excellent understanding of payroll tax regulations and employment laws.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or other relevant certification.
  • Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
  • Familiarity with Indian payroll and reporting.

Package: Up to 5 Lakhs

Work Location: Hyderabad

Working Days: 6 days a Week
