Job Summary
Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. In PSLD, as within all of Caterpillar, our priority is our customers and helping them build a better world. We touch nearly every element of the services value stream. PSLD is responsible for Aftermarket Parts Distribution of Cat Parts, Integrated Logistics, and Global Services supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers. Our teams work together in critical areas that leverage digital capabilities, technology, and operational excellence.
As a Parts Information Manager, you will oversee the creation and delivery of technical parts information to SIS/SIS2GO critical for the repair and service of Caterpillar products. Not a part gets sold, nor a machine or engine repaired, without the use of the information created, managed, and delivered by this team. You will be accountable for parts information processes to support NPI programs and Revisions projects and work with cross-functional teams to implement technology improvements elevating the parts identification and service experience.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.
Technical Excellence: Ability to develop and provide solutions to significant technical challenges; helps others solve technical or procedural problems or issues.

What You Will Do
- Provide supervision and technical direction to a large team, including management staff, agency staff, and interns.
- Collaborate with Peoria and India-based parts information teams to develop detailed work plans, resource, and budget requirements. Monitor progress, conduct status meetings, and address challenges or delays.
- Achieve operational excellence for quality, velocity, and cost across a global team utilizing Lean, CPS, and Continuous Improvement.
- Manage projects and track metrics focused on improving parts information creation and delivery methods to dealers and customers globally.
- Participate in recruitment and training of new employees. Invest in team members’ professional growth, provide guidance, and create opportunities for skills development.
- Build an organizational climate/culture that encourages innovation, commitment, and a sense of urgency toward business success.
