Job Description

Position: Part-time Education Specialist

Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)

Pay: $30/hour

Experience: 2+ years of experience in event planning, education programming, editorial/publications, or project coordination (preferably in an academic, association, or conference setting).

Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree.

Type: Part-time; Contract to hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 20 hours a week (Flexible)

Greene Resources is seeking a Part-time Education Specialist to join a growing and dynamic team! Support the Education Department in managing the educational content for live events and webinars. Handle various tasks, including author/speaker, committee, and conference call coordination, managing timelines and deliverables for event calls for abstracts and speakers. Ensure smooth coordination of content-related logistics within your department.

Job Description:

  • Organize and manage content timelines and deliverables related to various events, including submissions for the call for abstracts, abstract acceptance/decline notifications, and administration of abstract/content management platforms.
  • Provide general administrative support, including maintaining documentation and files.
  • Manage event trackers to ensure up-to-date status of deliverables and timeline benchmarks.
  • Coordinate communications with authors/speakers, committee members, volunteers, and staff in relation to events.
  • Provide support for the online learning platform (LearnUpon) through enrolling learners into courses, assisting learners with general inquiries, and pulling data/reports as needed.
  • Oversee the Education email inbox by responding to general inquiries and escalating/routing inquiries as required.
  • Process monthly online learning sales in MemberSuite and yearly billing and invoicing.

Position Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom).
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and effectively.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
