About The Role
We are looking for an experienced, performance-driven Legal Paraprofessional (Paralegal) to join the Rocket Lawyer team. In this vital role, you will deliver direct legal services to our diverse customer base, addressing a wide range of legal issues in alignment with Rocket Lawyer’s mission to make affordable and simple legal services accessible to all.
For us, the customer always comes first, so it’s essential that you are a professional who understands the needs of the individuals and businesses who come to us for legal help, most of whom are interacting with a legal professional for the first time. To be successful, you should be comfortable with technology, possess strong legal acumen, and have the communication skills to effectively convey legal information to clients.

How You Will Make a Difference Day To Day
You will help ensure that Rocket Lawyer continues to deliver legal services effectively and efficiently to customers. You will be responsible for the following:
- Conduct customer intakes and consultations by phone and video to understand their legal needs and provide responsive legal information relevant to their situation.
- Proactively identify opportunities during customer consultations to recommend and guide customers toward Rocket Lawyer products and paid legal services that meet their needs.
- Manage client matters, including invoicing, documentation, and case status, using Rocket Lawyer’s client management platform, Clio.
- Assist in launching new RLPS services and offerings by developing product launch plans and assets and partnering with marketing to implement strategic communication and sales plans.
- Review customer legal documents highlighting errors, summarizing risks and obligations, and answering questions with legal information relevant to the customer’s legal situation.
- Maintain and update the legal team database for document reviews, and responses to client questions, proactively adding new and relevant information to ensure comprehensive and current records.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of legal issues across multiple jurisdictions, as needed, to provide accurate information to clients.
- Collaborate with attorneys on document reviews, questions, and legal research.
- Work collaboratively with the Rocket Lawyer Operations teams to assure prompt and effective resolution of concerns raised by Rocket Lawyer customers.
- At least 3 years practical experience as a paralegal
- An associate degree or a certificate in paralegal studies (a bachelor's degree in a related field may be acceptable)
- Experience gained in law firms, in-house teams, startups, or other professional services environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort communicating via phone and video
- Curiosity and openness to learning new legal concepts, tools, and practice areas
- Solid research skills with the ability to interpret and apply legal information thoughtfully
- Comfort using technology to support daily work, including the ability to learn new tools, workflows, and processes
- Working knowledge of Google Workspace or similar productivity tools
- General IT proficiency, including accurate data entry and typing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a supportive, cross-functional team
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
- Ability to stay organized, adapt to change, and maintain a positive, solutions-oriented approach
- Comfort working in fast-paced or high-priority situations while managing deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize effectively
- A calm, respectful, and collaborative working style with strong interpersonal skills
