Job Description
Role Overview We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) specializing in Paper & Packaging Analytics to partner with our client. The SME will combine deep domain knowledge of paper and packaging manufacturing processes with advanced data analytics capabilities to drive operational excellence, cost reduction, and sustainable growth. This role demands a balanced expertise in process engineering, packaging materials, and analytics-driven decision-making. --- Key Responsibilities ? Serve as the primary domain expert on paper and packaging manufacturing processes, materials, machinery, and quality standards. ? Analyze production, packaging line efficiency, material usage, and quality data to uncover inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for cost savings. ? Develop and implement data-driven process optimization and packaging innovation strategies using advanced analytics and industry best practices. ? Collaborate closely with client stakeholders, packaging development teams, plant operations, and cross-functional groups to enhance productivity, sustainability, and reduce waste. ? Provide technical consultation, training, and knowledge transfer sessions to internal teams and client personnel. ? Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental sustainability related to both paper and packaging manufacturing. --- Qualifications & Experience ? Minimum 4+ years of proven experience in paper and packaging manufacturing, process engineering, or related sectors such as pulp, specialty papers, flexible packaging, or corrugated packaging. ? Experience with reputed companies such as JK Paper, ITC Paperboards, BILT, WestRock, Sonoco, Amcor, or similar packaging firms is highly desirable. ? Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Python, or other data analytics and visualization tools. ? In-depth knowledge of manufacturing KPIs including yield, throughput, OEE, packaging line efficiency, material waste, cost per unit, and energy optimization. ? Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, sustainability practices, and packaging industry regulations (e.g., food-grade packaging compliance, recyclability standards). ? Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills to effectively engage with diverse teams and leadership.
