Opportunity for Senior Design Engineer Cabin & Canopy (Off-Highway)

Title; Senior Design Engineer

Experience – 3 to 6 Years

Cabin & Canopy (Off-Highway)

Key Responsibilities

· Structural Design: Design ROPS (Roll-Over Protective Structures) and FOPS (Falling-Object Protective Structures) in compliance with international safety standards (ISO 3471 / ISO 3449).

· Ergonomics & HMI: Develop the interior layout, including seat positioning, steering column placement, and the "Reach Zone" for all levers and pedals.

· Visibility Analysis: Conduct 3D visibility studies (ISO 5006) to ensure the operator has a clear line of sight to the implements and surroundings.

· Interior & Trim: Design plastic trims, dashboards, and flooring, considering aesthetic appeal and sound insulation (NVH).

· Sealing & HVAC Integration: Design for weatherproofing (dust/water sealing) and integrate HVAC ducting for optimal airflow within the cabin.

· DFA/DFS Optimization: Create modular cabin designs that can be "dropped" onto the chassis as a single sub-assembly to reduce factory line time. Technical Skill Requirements

· CAD Proficiency: Expert in Creo (Surface modeling & Sheet metal)

· Materials: Knowledge of steel tubes, sheet metal, toughened glass (glazing), and plastics (Injection molding/Rotomolding).

· Standards: Deep understanding of ISO/SAE standards for cabin safety and operator comfort.

· Manufacturing: Knowledge of cabin welding jigs, glass bonding processes, and trim fitment.
