Job Description

The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient day and night bus operations across multiple depots. The role requires strong operational oversight, coordination with on-ground teams, and continuous monitoring of fleet availability, charging schedules, and operational workflows. The ideal candidate will focus on delivering reliable transport operations while maintaining high standards of safety, punctuality, and passenger experience.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

• Oversee end-to-end depot operations including fleet readiness, route deployment, and daily operational

workflows.

• Ensure optimal bus availability and operational efficiency across all depots.

• Monitor day and night shift operations and resolve operational issues in real time.

Fleet & Infrastructure Management

• Ensure buses are fully operational, charged (for EV fleets), and ready for deployment.

• Coordinate charging schedules, load management, and uptime optimization for electric buses.

• Maintain fleet readiness standards including vehicle cleanliness and maintenance checks.

Team Leadership

• Manage and coordinate operational staff, drivers, and ground teams across depots.

• Ensure drivers report on time and are prepared for duty.

• Drive a culture of accountability, ownership, and operational excellence within teams.

Performance Monitoring

• Track operational metrics and ensure adherence to service standards such as route punctuality and fleet availability.

• Build dashboards and automated reports for operational visibility and management insights.

• Identify operational gaps and implement improvements through data-driven decisions.

Process Optimization

• Standardize operational processes and implement SOPs across depots.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational workflows.

• Drive continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and passenger experience.

Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

• Monitor service quality and operational support provided by third-party partners.
