Summary
The AR Billing Manager is accountable for the end-to-end Order-to-Invoice operations and accounting process while managing and developing the team. Role will drive a culture of growth, data driven performance management and improvement, with a relentless focus on service delivery.
Role Description
The Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the AR Billing team (+10 employees) and will be accountable to meet all team SLAs and KPIs. A key focus of the role is ensuring that team members are fully engaged, supported, and developed. This includes actively building capabilities within the team, conducting performance reviews, and identifying opportunities for process and efficiency improvements.
The Manager will serve as the primary escalation point for operational issues and will collaborate closely with operations managers to ensure that customer needs are understood and met. The role operates within a matrix structure and reports directly to the Head of Finance Operations India (IFSC), while also working in close partnership with the Process Owner for Accounts Receivable to identify improvement opportunities and support the implementation of agreed enhancements.

Key Responsibilities
- Performance Management and Continuous Improvement
- Drives team and process performance through data driven insights
- Liese with GPO to ensure that AR processes are align to global GBS standards
- Ensures that process documentation, Process flow are updated on regular basis
- Drive automation and promote process optimization
- Stakeholder & Escalation Management
- Responsible for effective and efficient service interactions with customers, users, and other stakeholders. This includes the handling of incidents, issues, and escalations according to the GBS standard processes
- Risk, Compliance & Controls
- Responsible for executing controls as defined (and in compliance with Group Internal Control framework requirements) ensuring their results are documented, their effectiveness is monitored, and related insights are regularly shared with the Process Owners.
- Responsible for minimizing all operational risks including single points of failure and business continuity risks
- Liese with Senior external stakeholders to ensure prompt closure of Audit findings.
- Operational Delivery:
- Responsible for the fulfilment of agreed SLAs and KPIs and for the achievement of agreed User/Customer Satisfaction levels.
- Responsible to run and steer the AR Billing service delivery according to lean principles and the GBS standard operating model.
- Responsible for providing the necessary workforce capacity with the right skill set and capabilities.
- Responsible for monitoring volumes / workload drivers and for the planning and steering of workforce capacity according to demand.
- Team Management:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance & accounting
- 12+ years’ experience in a GBS or BPO setting
- Qualified accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA) or equivalent
- Expert knowledge of the Order to Invoice process and related accounting
- Experience in resource planning, scheduling, and workflow management.
- Experience managing a Billing team and driving performance against KPIs / SLAs
- Stakeholder management experience at operational level.
- Experience with MSOffice and ERP system: SAP is a must
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or any other equivalent training - desirable but not essential
