Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned hostel
Ensure all properties are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency.
Hire, train, mentor, and supervise hostel staff, including Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Security teams.
Monitor staff performance and ensure adequate staffing levels across all properties.
Address resident inquiries, complaints, and feedback promptly while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Implement and enforce hostel rules, operational policies, and safety procedures.
Coordinate with maintenance teams and external vendors to ensure timely completion of repairs and preventive maintenance.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers.
Ensure timely rent collection and follow up on outstanding payments.
Monitor occupancy levels and implement strategies to maximize occupancy and improve revenue.
Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs while maintaining service quality.
Maintain accurate records of resident occupancy, lease agreements, operational documentation, and compliance records.
Act as the primary liaison between hostel management, residents, educational institutions, and the company to ensure effective communication..

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
2+ years of experience in hostel, property management, or operations management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and operational management software.
Ability to manage multiple properties and teams simultaneously.
Experience in hostel, PG, coliving, or hospitality operations will be an added advantage.
