Operational Risk Senior Specialist


Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

Division: Risk Management

Reporting to: Operational Risk Senior Manager

Job Purpose

To support the design and management of a Risk Management framework for identifying, measuring, and mitigating risk and ensure it is fit for purpose—thus ensuring ALJUF is in full compliance with all regulations, laws, and internal policies and procedures. This role also supports the achievement of business strategic objectives by addressing business needs across all related risk areas.


Key Duties and Responsibilities


Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain updated risk management systems
  • Timely and accurate communication of key risks to relevant stakeholders through reporting mechanisms
  • Contribute to development of risk management systems
  • Accurate identification of key risks and recommendation of ways to control or reduce risks
  • Ensure implementation of related policies and procedures to reduce risk for the company


Key Activities

  • Support in the process of identifying and assessing the risks affecting the business
  • Organize appropriate risk reporting and templates
  • Review and understand changes taking place, or proposed, in the RCSA
  • Produce risk reports to stakeholders on a regular basis
  • Follow risk mitigation strategies for ALJUF’s critical risks and monitor these risks as per the appetite
  • Follow escalation mechanisms regarding identified risks
  • Support and implement risk-assessment models and methodologies
  • Facilitate third-party risk assessment process
  • Follow up with related stakeholders for updating ALJUF risk register and dashboard
  • Design awareness and e-learning materials
  • Support in training and awareness sessions across the company
  • Support, as requested, to maintain departmental compliance level


Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Very good English language proficiency (writing & speaking)

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
