Job Description - Operational Risk Analyst:
Job Title: Operational Risk Analyst (Associate Level)
Experience Required: Minimum 8+ years in Corporate Banking Domain
Location: Chennai
Department: Operations Planning and Risk Management.
Job Summary
The Operational Risk Analyst (Associate) will support the MGS’s risk management framework by identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting operational risks. This role is ideal for candidates with over 8 years of experience in operational risk or related functions within the corporate banking sector, who are eager to develop their expertise in risk analytics and control testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation and maintenance of operational process documents and workflows for corporate banking activities.
- Assist in applying risk and control assessment techniques to help identify and evaluate risks.
- Help ensure a consistent approach to identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting operational risk events.
- Assist with internal inspections, including documentation and follow-up actions.
- Prepare presentation materials and support presentations to senior management, as directed by supervisors.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Business, or related field preferred) with at least 8 years of experience in corporate banking or risk management
- Basic understanding of risk management principles and internal controls.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), AI literacy
- Good communication, teamwork/collaboration and Stakeholder management
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in preparing and organizing presentation materials
- Ability to learn new processes quickly and adapt to changing requirements
