LAHI is Niti Aayog’s Partner in Uttar Pradesh to showcase NEP aligned Skill Education delivery in schools in Aspirational Districts & Blocks. In Uttar Pradesh, LAHI also partners with the Dept of School Education, Samagra Shiksha & Dept of Skill Education (DTE & SCVT) to support large-scale improvements in school based Skill Education (6-12) & ITI based Vocational Education delivery. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with Barabanki District Collector, CDO, District Education Officers (BSA, DIOS) & Niti Aayog officials as part of Niti Aayog’s Aspirational District & Block Program. The Officer will manage NEP-aligned Skill Education delivery in Barabanki Govt schools & the project may expand later to other aspirational districts of UP. Based in Barabanki/Lucknow, the role combines strategic exposure, on-ground execution, and high-impact work in India’s skilling & education ecosystem.

Based in Barabanki/Lucknow, the role combines strategic exposure, on-ground execution, and high-impact work in India’s skilling & education ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- End to End program Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Managing the end to end delivery of LAHI’s Niti Aayog project in UP’s Govt Schools: Teachers & Principals Training, Procurement, stakeholder management, students assessment etc in co-ordination with LAHI’s central team
- Presently project in Barabanki district covering Govt schools & may expand later to other aspirational districts in UP
- Advocacy of NEP aligned Skill Education model with Key stakeholders: Documenting success stories (writeups/ppts, video, pics) & advocating the progress with right channels on frequent basis (District collector, SCERT, Samagra Shiksha, Niti aayog)
- Field Visit to ensure good quality delivery of program by Govt teachers
- Have own bike to take field visits (2 aspirational blocks of Barabanki district), fuel cost will be reimbursed by the organisation)
- Procurement of books & toolkits locally at Lucknow for schools
- Training management: Co-ordinating & managing Govt school teachers & Principals training with LAHI’s central training team
- SoW campaign coordination & end to end management: Skills on wheels (SoW) mobile skill lab bus campaign management with LAHI’s central SoW team: Initially in Barabanki district & may expand later to other aspirational districts in UP
- Co-ordinate students assessment at certain interval in co-ordination with LAHI’s central team
- Keep project data available (student enrollment, teachers record, students attendance etc.)
- Solve Teacher & Principals related issues---when teacher change, Principals transfer etc
- Keep District collector, District Officials & Niti Ayog officials apprised of the progress
- Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare periodic progress reports and presentations
- Maintain records of Program activities, meetings, and outputs
- Ensure professional communication between Lend A Hand India and Government counterparts
- Location Placement:
- Candidate to be Based in Barabanki district for initial at-least 6 months to manage the program launch & its end to end delivery
- Once program is stabilized candidate can divide his/her time between Barabanki & Lucknow district in consultation with State Lead
- Flexibility to travel within State as per need.
Minimum Experience:
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience in: School Education/ Skill Development, Experience of working with Govt officials & Govt schools, end to end field-based project management
- Gandhi Fellowship /TFI fellow preferred with bent for field-based project management
- Have own bike to take field visits.
- Bachelor's Degree in education social sciences, or a related field.
- Relevant fellowships (e.g., Gandhi Fellowship, TFI, MGNF etc.) will be an added advantage.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Good in end to end program delivery (training, procurement, stakeholder management etc)
- Good in communication, documentation, data: who can highlight success story at right channels actively
- Good communication skills (Hindi & English)
- Ability to work in a government system with professionalism, discretion, and persistence
- Strong coordination, follow-up, and stakeholder management abilities
- Good proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfortable working in government environments
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-focused
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork
