Job Title: Odia (Oriya) Language Expert / Linguistic QA Tester / Translator

Location: Noida

Experience: 1–5 Years

We are looking for a skilled Odia (Oriya) Language Expert to support translation, localization, and linguistic quality assurance projects. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Odia and English, with experience in translation, annotation, or QA testing. This role involves working on AI/ML datasets, content localization, and ensuring linguistic accuracy across platforms.

• Translate content between English ↔ Odia ensuring accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance
• Perform linguistic QA (LQA) and proofreading of translated and AI-generated content
• Review and validate machine-generated translations and provide feedback
• Conduct annotation, transcription, and data labeling for AI/ML projects
• Identify and report linguistic errors, bugs, and inconsistencies
• Maintain glossaries, style guides, and linguistic assets
• Ensure consistency in terminology and localization standards
• Collaborate with QA, Product, and AI teams for continuous improvement
• Provide cultural insights and language recommendations

• Native or near-native proficiency in Odia (Oriya)
• Strong command of English (written & spoken)
• Experience in translation, localization, linguistic QA, or annotation
• Good understanding of grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances
• Familiarity with tools like Excel, QA tools, CAT tools (Smartcat, Trados, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

• Experience in AI/LLM, NLP, or data annotation projects
• Exposure to LQA testing, bug reporting tools (JIRA)
• Background in linguistics, literature, or language studies
• Prior experience with companies like Qualitest, Appen, Lionbridge, TransPerfect

• Evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy and fluency
• Compare multiple translation outputs and select the best version with justification
• Ensure linguistic quality, consistency, and cultural appropriateness across datasets
