Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Nursing Superintendent located in Kollam, Kerala. The Nursing Superintendent will oversee nursing operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, compliance with healthcare standards, and efficient management of nursing staff. Responsibilities include staff scheduling, training and development, performance monitoring, and mentoring teams to improve clinical practices. Additional duties involve implementing policies, coordinating with medical and administrative staff, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Qualifications

  • Proven skills in staff scheduling, team management, and leadership to oversee nursing staff effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare standards, quality assurance in patient care, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in training, mentoring, and developing nursing teams to improve clinical effectiveness.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and foster a culture of safety, courtesy, and compassion.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing or equivalent qualification is required.
  • At least 10-15 years of clinical and administrative experience in hospital or healthcare settings is preferred.
  • Proficiency in using hospital management systems and understanding of electronic medical records.
  • Certification or additional training in healthcare management and leadership will be an advantage.
