Role - Node.js Developer

Role & Responsibilities

 Lead and mentor a backend team providing technical guidance, code reviews, and problem-solving support.

 Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Frontend, QA, DevOps, Product).

 Work hands-on as a Backend Engineer in building cloud-based, enterprise-grade web

applications in the Mortgage Finance domain.

 Contribute to architecture, design and technical decision-making for scalable and secure backend

systems.

 Design and implement microservices and distributed systems with high scalability, resilience and

performance.

 Hands on knowledge on AWS and GCP cloud infrastructure including Lambdas, API Gateway,

Load Balancers, Pub/Sub, SQS/SNS, queues, workloads and related services.

 Implement and improve Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.

 Ensure strong API design, authentication (JWT, OAuth2), security best practices and integration

patterns.

 Drive code quality, engineering processes, CI/CD practices and technical standards.

 Deliver rapid iterations based on user feedback and product metrics.

 Actively adopt and evaluate new frameworks, tools, and technologies to strengthen the platform.

Qualifications & Experience

 4+ years of overall experience in backend engineering.

 2–3 years of experience leading and managing a team of 10+ engineers.

 Exceptional technical communication, documentation and stakeholder handling skills.

 Strong design and architectural skills across AWS/GCP cloud ecosystems.

 Excellent programming skills in Node.js, JavaScript with strong hands-on experience in building

REST APIs.

 Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, availability, and cloud-native patterns.

 Experience with Relational & NoSQL databases and scalable data design.

 Experience improving code quality standards, engineering processes, and reviewing PRs with a

focus on maintainability and performance.

 Ability to guide, mentor, and support backend engineers on technical challenges and architectural

decisions.
