About the Opportunity We?re looking for a passionate Node.js Developer with strong backend development experience in TypeScript and modern API architecture. The ideal candidate will work on designing, building, and optimizing backend microservices in a monorepo setup, powering our settlement and repayment processing platform. You?ll collaborate closely with frontend, data, and product teams to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable services that handle complex financial and operational workflows What you'll be doing Backend Development Design and implement REST APIs usin g js an d TypeScri pt Work within a monore po structure with multiple workspaces and shared libraries Implement modular service layers (Controller, Service, DB Access, Utils) Data and Business Logic Build and optimize database queries for RDS (MySQL/PostgreSQL) using efficient ORM/query builders or raw SQL Develop financial computation logic for settlements, repayments, disbursements, and refunds Handle asynchronous operations, batch jobs, and event-driven workflows Integration and APIs Integrate internal and third-party APIs using Axios Integrate and manage third-party payment gateways Ensure compliance, accuracy, and idempotency in financial operations Code Quality & Testing Write unit and integration tests using Jest and mocking libraries Maintain type safety using TypeScript interfaces and ts-interface-checker Participate in code reviews and enforce best practices for clean, maintainable code Performance and Optimization Use SWC for fast transpilation and optimized builds Improve service performance and scalability through caching, batching, and optimized DB interactions Deployment & CI/CD Work with cloud environments (preferably AWS Lambda-style services or containerized deployments) Support CI/CD workflows and ensure smooth integration across environments What required for you to be successful in the role: 5+ years of experience wi th Node .js a nd TypeScript Strong proficiency in Koa .j s, Expr ess, or similar backend frameworks Stro ng SQL ski lls with experience in AWS RDS (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and database performance optimization Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (O OP) concepts ? abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance, and polymorph ism ? and their practical application in building reusable, class-based backend services Familiarity wi th monorepo architectu res (e.g., using npm/yarn workspaces Experience wi th J est for automated testing Strong understanding of asynchronous programm ing, and concurrency handling Proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs Knowledge of environment configurat io n, error handl ing, a nd logging best practices Even better if you have: Experience with Vue 3 + Quasar frontend stack for end-to-end collaboration Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build orchestration, and deployment automation in monorepos Strong focus on code quality, reusability, and design patterns (e.g., Singleton, Factory, Strategy) Good analytical, debugging, and communication skills Join us as we transform trade finance?reach out and let?s start the conversation!
