As part of our network expansion and operations excellence strategy, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced NOC Head to lead centralized network monitoring and operations.

Role Overview

The NOC Head will be responsible for leading 24x7 Network Operations Centre (NOC) functions, ensuring high network availability, proactive monitoring, outage management, performance optimization, and cross-functional coordination.

The role requires strong expertise in Optical Fibre Networks, Transmission (SDH/DWDM/IP), 4G/5G backhaul, and large-scale fibre infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Network Monitoring & Operations

• Lead 24x7 NOC operations for Optical Fibre & Transmission Network.
• Ensure high uptime and SLA adherence across backbone and access networks.
• Oversee P1/P2 outage management, RCA analysis, and corrective action planning.
• Monitor high bandwidth traffic and ensure network stability.

🔹 Incident & Escalation Management

• Drive critical outage handling and real-time coordination with field & circle teams.
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Establish escalation matrix and improve MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).

🔹 Fibre & Transmission Network Management

• Oversee OFC rollout, O&M support, DWDM, SDH, IP equipment planning.
• Supervise GIS-based route mapping, asset management & network planning tools.
• Ensure end-to-end fiber connectivity including splicing, testing (OTDR, Power Meter), and handover to O&M.

🔹 Planning & Optimization

• Review network design, route planning, and capacity augmentation strategies.
• Conduct Opex analysis and drive cost optimization initiatives.
• Support expansion planning including FTTX, OSP projects, and high-capacity routes.

🔹 Regulatory & Coordination

• Coordinate with government authorities for ROW and project approvals.
• Liaise with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with telecom standards and quality benchmarks.

🔹 Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor NOC engineers and regional teams.
• Establish SOPs, dashboards, KPIs, and performance monitoring systems.
• Build a proactive and high-performance operations culture.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 15+ years of experience in Telecom Network Operations & Fibre Infrastructure.
• Strong exposure to OFC planning, DWDM, SDH, IP networks.
• Hands-on experience in outage management and critical fault analysis.
• Knowledge of GIS tools (Arc GIS, Lepton, asset mapping tools).
• Experience in 4G/5G transport network operations preferred.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics & Communication / Telecom Engineering
• MBA (Preferred but not mandatory)
