Job Summary
POWERCON Ventures Ltd is looking for a skilled Desktop & Network Support Engineer to manage day-to-day IT infrastructure, user support, and network operations. The candidate will be responsible for providing L1/L2 technical support, maintaining desktop systems, troubleshooting network issues, managing Microsoft 365 services, and assisting in firewall and security configurations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1 & L2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, applications, and system software.
- Manage user accounts, email configuration, and administration in Microsoft 365 (O365).
- Monitor and support network connectivity, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and internet connectivity issues.
- Assist in configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of Fortinet FortiGate Firewall.
- Handle hardware installation, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
- Support VPN connectivity and remote access troubleshooting.
- Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
- Ensure system security, patch updates, and antivirus management.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for IT-related issues.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in Desktop Support and Network Troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 (O365) Administration.
- Experience working with Fortinet FortiGate Firewall.
- Good understanding of LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and VPN.
- Experience in Active Directory user management.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field., MCA, BCA with Networking certifications if any.
- Certifications such as Microsoft, Fortinet, or Networking certifications will be an advantage.
