Position: Network Security Engineer

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: Competitive hourly pay

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10 40 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Manage and secure network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and IPS systems.
• Monitor, analyze, and respond to network security incidents and threats.
• Implement cloud and endpoint security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP environments.
• Lead incident response processes including investigation, containment, and remediation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enforce security standards and best practices.
• Mentor team members and promote security awareness across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with security frameworks, policies, and industry regulations.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in network security management and firewall configuration.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform security environments.
• Deep understanding of encryption, SSL, VPNs, cryptography, and network segmentation.
• Hands-on experience in incident response and security event analysis.
• Knowledge of compliance standards and security policy implementation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly preferred.
