Job Title: Perimeter Security Engineer (Palo Alto Firewall)
Experience: 5+ Years
Location: Mumbai
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Perimeter Security Engineer with hands-on experience in Palo Alto Firewalls to manage and secure enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for firewall configuration, monitoring, threat prevention, and overall perimeter security operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and manage Palo Alto Firewalls (L2/L3)
- Implement and maintain security policies, NAT rules, and VPN configurations
- Monitor firewall logs and traffic using tools like Panorama
- Perform security hardening and ensure compliance with organizational policies
- Handle incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
- Manage Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Anti-virus, URL filtering, and threat intelligence features
- Work on VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
- Conduct regular firewall audits and rule optimization
- Collaborate with SOC, Network, and Cloud teams for security operations
- Ensure high availability and failover configurations
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks Firewalls
- Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, Routing, Switching)
- Experience in NAT, VPN, Security Policies, and Threat Prevention
- Knowledge of DDoS protection, perimeter security, and malware analysis
- Familiarity with Panorama management
- Experience with log analysis tools (SIEM tools preferred)
- Understanding of cloud security basics (AWS/Azure) is a plus
Preferred Certifications
- Palo Alto Certifications (PCNSA / PCNSE)
- Any security certifications like CEH, CISSP (optional but preferred)
