Network Security Architect

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Network Security Architect role based in Kerala, India. The Network Security Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures for KVBL’s large-scale broadband and FTTH infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include assessing security risks, developing security policies and standards, configuring firewalls and other security devices, and monitoring network traffic for potential threats. The role also involves performing vulnerability assessments, coordinating incident response activities, and working closely with network operations teams to ensure high availability and resilience. The Network Security Architect will collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to evaluate new security technologies and ensure compliance with regulatory and industry best practices.
Qualifications

• Strong expertise in network architecture and design, including routing, switching, and large-scale broadband or ISP environments.
• Hands-on experience with network security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, load balancers, and secure access solutions.
• Proficiency in security assessment and monitoring tools, including vulnerability scanners, SIEM platforms, and log analysis utilities.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS) and experience developing security policies and procedures.
• Experience with cloud and virtualization security, secure configuration management, and automation or scripting for network security operations.
• Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional certifications such as CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work on-site in Kerala, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and support a high-availability service provider environment.
