Overview

On behalf of a top financial services client, we are seeking an experienced Monitoring & Network Observability Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale monitoring and network visibility solutions across a large, complex environment. This individual will be responsible for the administration, customization, and enhancement of SolarWinds, NetScout, ThousandEyes, and Forward Networks platforms, ensuring high availability, resiliency, and proactive monitoring across critical infrastructure. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, collaboration across infrastructure and operations teams, and the ability to support large-scale deployments and upgrades with minimal business impact.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, administer, and enhance enterprise monitoring solutions using SolarWinds, NetScout, ThousandEyes, and Forward Networks.
• Configure and maintain SolarWinds Orion modules to provide comprehensive infrastructure and application monitoring.
• Implement and support ThousandEyes Enterprise Agents, Endpoint Agents, and Selenium-based Transaction Monitoring for end-to-end user experience and network performance monitoring.
• Manage and support NetScout InfiniStream appliances, including hardware refreshes, end-of-life replacements, and platform upgrades while ensuring zero downtime across multiple data centre environments.
• Utilize Forward Networks and develop Network Query Engine (NQE) queries to perform network validation, troubleshooting, path analysis, and compliance verification.
• Partner with infrastructure, network, security, and application teams to identify monitoring gaps and improve observability across the enterprise.
• Troubleshoot performance, availability, and network-related issues across Linux, Windows, and enterprise infrastructure platforms.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise monitoring, observability, or network performance management environments.
• Hands-on experience with SolarWinds Orion, including administration and support of relevant monitoring modules.
• Experience with NetScout technologies, including InfiniStream deployments, upgrades, hardware refreshes, and supporting multiple data centre environments with high-availability requirements.
• Experience deploying and administering ThousandEyes Endpoint Agents, Enterprise Agents, and Selenium-based Transaction Monitoring solutions.
• Experience with Forward Networks, including creating and utilizing NQE (Network Query Engine) queries.
• Strong experience working in enterprise on-premises environments utilizing both Linux and Windows command-line administration.
• Experience supporting highly available and resilient infrastructure environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across network, server, and application monitoring domains.
