Network Engineer (AI Ops)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to support the engineering and operations of our AI Operations platform within the networking organization, with a particular focus on the Network AIOps

platform and adjacent observability, automation, and data integration capabilities. This role is responsible

for designing, building, integrating, and operating technical solutions that improve visibility into network

health, accelerate incident detection and triage, and enable more intelligent operational workflows across

the enterprise network environment. The ideal candidate brings strong software engineering fundamentals

along with experience in network operations, observability platforms, telemetry pipelines, automation, and

production support. This is a hands-on individual contributor role. The position will partner closely with

network engineering, infrastructure, SRE, and operations teams to improve the effectiveness, reliability, and

scalability of the AI Ops platform and its supporting ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineer, configure, and support integrations between the Network AIOps platform and network, infrastructure, and operational data sources including telemetry, alerts, events, logs, incidents, and topology data.
• Build and maintain software, automation, and platform services that improve Network AIOps platform reliability, data quality, and operational effectiveness.
• Develop and enhance ingestion pipelines, normalization logic, enrichment workflows, and data transformation processes used to support event correlation and operational intelligence.
• Partner with networking teams to onboard data sources from routers, switches, firewalls, controllers, cloud networking environments, and related monitoring systems.
• Improve observability and operational support for the Network AIOps platform through dashboards, alerting, health checks, tracing, and diagnostics.
• Support operational use cases such as incident triage, anomaly detection, root cause workflows, event correlation, and service-impact analysis.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, data flow, integration, and production issues across application, infrastructure, and network domains.
• Develop automation to reduce manual operational effort and improve response times for network incidents and platform support activities.
• Contribute to architecture and design for scalable, resilient, and secure Network AIOps platform capabilities.
• Support platform upgrades, release validation, environment management, and change implementation activities.
• Write maintainable code, scripts, APIs, and infrastructure-as-code to improve repeatability and operational consistency.
• Participate in on-call support or operational escalation processes as required for platform and production support.
• Document integrations, workflows, support procedures, operational runbooks, and technical designs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering, platform engineering, or systems engineering experience in production environments.
• Experience supporting or integrating operational platforms used in network operations, observability, NOC, SRE, or infrastructure operations.
• Strong programming or scripting skills in one or more languages such as Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript.
• Experience building or supporting data integrations, APIs, event processing pipelines, or automation services.
• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring concepts.
• Experience with telemetry and observability data such as metrics, events, logs, traces, SNMP, syslog, traps, streaming telemetry, or API-based operational data.
• Experience with cloud platforms and modern infrastructure environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with containers and orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues across integrated systems and driving incidents to resolution.
• Understanding of CI/CD, testing, release management, and secure engineering practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience with AI Operations platforms, event intelligence, or network observability platforms.
• Experience integrating with systems such as monitoring tools, ITSM platforms, CMDBs, topology services, ticketing systems, and incident/event management tools.
• Familiarity with network management and observability ecosystems, including tools that collect telemetry, alarms, fault data, and performance metrics.
• Experience with data parsing, enrichment, correlation logic, or streaming/event-driven architectures.
• Exposure to machine learning-assisted operations, anomaly detection workflows, or operational analytics platforms.
• Experience with Terraform, REST APIs, Python automation frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Familiarity with Linux systems administration, message queues, JSON/YAML data modeling, and authentication/integration patterns.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or service-provider network environments.
