We're working with a premier global defense consultancy and technology powerhouse on this exciting opportunity. We are looking for a mission-driven engineer to design and secure the critical backbone networks that power the Department of Defense, utilizing cutting-edge Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies.

The Role

Architect and deploy high-availability layer 2 and layer 3 networks across complex DoD environments and classified systems.
Collaborate with subject matter experts and end-users to translate strategic mission goals into robust network requirements.
Lead the installation, configuration, and maintenance of multivendor hardware from industry leaders like Cisco, Juniper, Dell, HPE, and Palo Alto.
Troubleshoot and resolve intricate interoperability issues across backbone networks, ensuring seamless data flow for critical operations.
Support the evolution of defense infrastructure through integration with cloud technologies and software-defined wide area networks (SD-WAN).

What You'll Need

3+ years of experience designing and deploying multi-protocol IP backbone networks with deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and MPLS.
Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, or VMware network and security solutions in a production environment.
Active Secret security clearance is mandatory to support classified mission networks.
Strong technical foundation in routing and switching protocols including IS-IS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, and L3VPNs.
Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of hire; experience with Linux/UNIX or STIGing is a major plus.
