Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations to diagnose kidney-related diseases.
- Manage treatment plans for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
- Oversee dialysis treatments and address complications or concerns.
- Supervise kidney transplant processes, including pre- and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to optimize patient care.
- Engage in patient education regarding kidney health and disease prevention.
- Perform necessary procedures, including biopsies and ultrasonography.
- Monitor and manage hypertension in patients with renal involvement.
- Participate in clinical research studies to enhance nephrology care.
- Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately.
- Advise on nutritional plans specific to renal health.
- Provide consultations for inpatients with acute or chronic kidney issues.
- Stay current with advancements in nephrology to ensure best practices.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
- Mentor junior staff and medical students in nephrology practices.
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- DM (Doctorate of Medicine) in Nephrology or equivalent.
- DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Nephrology is highly preferred.
- Valid medical license to practice in India.
- At least 5 years of post-specialization experience in nephrology.
- Strong background in renal replacement therapies.
- Experience with kidney transplantation protocols and procedures.
- Familiarity with the latest diagnostic tools and technologies.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Adept in managing diverse patient populations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in nephrology.
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems.
- Experience in conducting clinical research is an advantage.
- Willingness to participate in on-call duties as necessary.
