Job Description
An MRI spreadsheet report developer is a data and reporting professional who specializes in designing, creating/developing, and maintaining reports related to a company's use of MRI Software , a real estate and property management (PMX). This role leverages strong Microsoft Excel skills combined with expertise in the MRI platform, spreadsheet server and database technologies to provide business insights. Key Responsibilities Report Development: Design and build/develop custom financial and operational reports (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, rent rolls, budget forecasts, dashboards) using tools that integrate directly with MRI data. Data Extraction and Analysis: Develop complex SQL queries and use tools like Query Designer to extract data from the MRI database and other relational databases. Spreadsheet Integration: Utilize Excel-based reporting tools, such as Spreadsheet Server for MRI, to access live, refreshable data within the familiar Excel environment, eliminating manual data entry or data dumps. Collaboration and Requirement Gathering: Work closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and department heads to gather reporting requirements and ensure reports are accurate, timely, and meet business needs. Automation and Efficiency: Automate the preparation, formatting, and distribution of reports, trimming manual reporting processes and improving efficiency. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Collaborate with IT teams to troubleshoot issues with reports and databases and maintain documentation for existing reports. Required Skills and Tools Proficiency in MRI Software: Expertise in the MRI software suite, including the MRI Application Toolkit. Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of SQL & MRI data structures, database management (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server), and data warehousing concepts. Reporting Tools: Experience with reporting and data visualization software such as Microsoft Excel (with add-ins Spreadsheet Server). Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail for ensuring data accuracy and identifying trends. Communication: Excellent communication skills to interpret user requirements and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
